A downloadable game for Windows

Dawn of Defense is a Roguelite Tower Defense game with RTS elements. Surrounded by enemies, your tribe is the last bastion against the Empire. Build towers to fight enemy troops in the trenches, train warriors and retake territory to build on. Reclaim your lands and defeat the baneful Empire!

This is the first, pre-alpha playable build of the game that we are sharing with the public to get to gather feedback and hear what you think about it.

You can check out the controls scheme inside of the build, and a list of features ( what is already done, what we are working on and what's still planned).

The current playable build is still not feature complete, that means some features (including roguelite mechanics) are currently missing in the build and will be added later. But even our first build already conveys the unique mixture of RTS and Tower Defense genres and how it feels in the game.

- In the pause menu, you'll also find a Cheats menu in the top right corner that might come in handy while playtesting.

- This build includes 3 save games set up on the same generated map (new start, mid-game, late game) that you can load from anywhere in the game by double-tapping F5, F6, or F7.

- As of now, the in-game UI only supports 16:9 resolutions. We can't guarantee proper UI response on other aspect ratios, especially ultra-wide monitors.

If you have any feedback after playing the game, or encounter any bugs, we'd be happy to hear about it on our Discord server, or in the comments on itch!

If you like the game and the demo, please wishlist us on Steam, it helps us a lot!

Loved it, theres place next to starting "island" where nearly all routes come together and if you place lots of tower there they just cant pass

amasing game! i do miss a mini map and control keys for troops and towers

id suggest f1, f2, and f3 for time speed and the normal numbers for control keys that would reslle up the game

This game is really fun. Well done!

Game's fun, is the meta to camp the enemy tower before capturing it?

Hey :)
Found out about your game on YT.
Played the demo and really like the idea and style of the game.
Feels nice even in this early state.

I got some feedback as well (don't know if it's on your roadmap):
* In my opinion, it would be great to have an option to spend some gold in restoring some health of the spirit stone (the main building), as sometimes it's just one little goblin doing the final hit, when next round the whole match could have been turned.
* Another thing I'd really like: If you lose a land with buildings on and recapture it, an option to rebuild/repair the buildings for maybe half the price or something would be great. The repair costs could also rise if you lose it more often.

At first I also thought the towers would attack land units as well, but I guess lands would be too hard to capture then.

* One more feature I'd like to see (maybe you have that on the radar), is to upgrade my defenses with gold, thus I don't have to build a new expensive tower which needs space as well.

Thank you for working on this game and I wish you all the best with it :)

Hey,

Great thanks to you for playing our demo and sharing your feedback!

The idea with restoring the tower hp with gold is interesting, we'll definitely consider it! The tower, buildings and troops upgrades will for sure come in later versions.

Also, you can already repair buildings if enemy captures your island and you reclaim it.

Really glad you enjoyed the demo and hope you can try our future updates too!

This game is really good! Seems quite addictive as well. 1 thing I noticed early on. I think the speed should reset to default once each wave is over.
